Welcome Baby Card
One of my friends recently gave birth to a beautiful little boy. We all had a blast waiting for his arrival and I decided to prepare by making a card. Do I have to keep saying “click to enlarge? Really?
How cute is that? Yes, I’m patting myself on the back a bit. I still think the carriage needs some kind of handle but none of the inspiration pieces had one.
From this scan of the inside, you can see that the basic shape of the card is a circle with 1/4 cut out. I didn’t quite complete the circle so the fold would allow me to make a card.
Keen observers may notice that the front of the card changed after I scanned it. When the baby was born, K&A named him Henry. Considering the card already said “Hello” it seemed only fitting to swap out that little piece for some further customization.
The inside verse says:
To hug and to hold from
this day forward –
Congratulations on the birth of
your little one!
This may be one of my favorite cards ever. I love the pastel plaid that’s baby but not TOO baby. It just oozes sweetness, much like little Henry himself. Congratulations, K&A (and big sis A) on the arrival of your adorable little man!
